Program: Tufts University MS/DI
My name is Janelle, and I am currently a second-year student in the combined MS/DI program at Tufts University. I am deeply passionate about making the most of every learning opportunity throughout my dietetic internship. My love for nutrition began with personal experiences and has grown into a commitment to advocating for equitable care and increased access to nutrition education and nourishing foods. As president of the MSDA, I am dedicated to collaborating with my team to expand opportunities and resources for nutrition students across the state. My mission this year is to foster an inclusive, uplifting environment for the next generation of nutrition and dietetics professionals.

My name is Hannah, and I’m currently a third year student in Boston University’s DPD/MS+DI program. I’m passionate about the connection between food, people, and the environment, and how nutrition can be used as a tool for both personal and planetary well-being. Serving as Secretary of the MSDA has been such a rewarding experience, and I’m excited to continue supporting dietetics students in my new role as Vice President.

Program: Tufts University/Tufts Medical Center MS/DI Program, Class of 2026
My name is Anna, and I am currently a second year student in the combined MS/DI program at Tufts University. The dietetics profession connects my interests in food, health, and helping others, and is a career I am extremely passionate about. As the MSDA treasurer, I am dedicated to ensuring the successful financial management of our events, and growing MSDA’s presence within the dietetic community. I am looking forward to collaborating with everyone and the exciting year ahead!

Lydia Bunszel
Program: Boston University MS+DI
My name is Lydia, and I am a second-year student in Boston University’s MS+DI program and just started my DI this past June. I’ve always been fascinated by the holistic nature of nutrition and how food can impact both health and behavioral outcomes. Serving on the MSDA board last year was an incredibly valuable experience that deepened my passion for the field. I’m excited to continue as secretary, supporting the group more broadly, helping to keep MSDA organized and efficient, and contributing to MSDA’s mission. I'm eager to make a meaningful difference both within the group and in the profession as a whole. I’m looking forward to an amazing year ahead!

Program: Simmons University MS/DI Program, Class of 2027
Hi! My name is Ava and I have been passionate about nutrition from a young age when I learned to cook from my grandparents. I aspire to help others have a healthy relationship with food and help them to become the best version of themselves. As philanthropy chair, I hope to connect dietetic students with the community and make nutrition more accessible while giving back through philanthropy events. I look forward to all of our events this year!

Brynn Phillips
Program: Boston University DPD/MS+DI
My name is Brynn, and I’m a second-year grad student in Boston University’s DPD/MS+DI program. My passion for dietetics began with my own personal journey with nutrition and learning more about how food fuels our bodies. I am particularly interested in sports nutrition. I love that this profession allows me to help others and learn how to develop a healthy relationship with food. I am looking forward to using my background in social media to build MSDA’s online community as the social media chair this year!
