We are looking for a Full Time Diet Technician to join our team!
The Diet Technician is responsible for the day-to-day assessment of all aspects of residents at moderate and low nutritional risk. Collaborates with the registered dietitian and other members of the healthcare team in providing medical nutrition therapy. Provides nutrition care as outlined in the policies and procedures for moderate and low nutritional risk patients. Provides nutrition education to patients and families on appropriate meal selections within dietary restrictions to accomplish resident plan of care.
Directly reports to the Director of Dining Services for all coordination of discipline services and/or any specific or corporate functions, processes or initiatives.
Reports day-to-day to on-site Dietitian about any nutritional, and/or diet order concerns.
Certification/Licensure: If applicable, actively licensed in the assigned state(s) of employment as a Registered Dietetic Technician.
1-3 years in a long-term care or food service setting
Experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
