SEMDA WORKSHOP: Intuitive Eating Marci Evans, MS, CEDRD-S, LDN, cPT, Owner, Marci RD Nutrition Consulting Intuitive Eating (IE) is a paradigm that is validated by a growing body of research. In fact, IE is correlated with lower BMI, reduced risk of disordered eating/eating disorders, and greater psychological health. This paradigm was developed by two RDNs and places the RDN at the center of providing effective, evidence-based care. In this half-day, workshop participants will be able to: 1. Understand and describe the current research that supports the use of IE in nutrition counseling settings. 2. State the 10 Principles of IE and examples of these principles in action. 3. Develop at least 3 strategies for integrating IE tools into their practice setting. Marci is a Food and Body Imager Healer™. She has dedicated her career to counseling, supervising, and teaching in the field of eating disorders.
