MAND DEI is happy to present a speaker series that is partially funded by the academy’s diversity mini-grant 2020.


All three events are free for Academy members. Donation is happily accepted in any amount, all proceeds toward Massachusetts Dietetics Education Foundation Scholarship fund.


Session 2: Dietary Patterns of Latin American Populations and Disease Prevention

This section will examine dietary patterns in the Latino population. It will explore the relationship between diet and the most common chronic diseases affecting Latin Americans living in the US.  Strategies to set culturally appropriate nutrition intervention goals for this population will be discussed

For 2025, MDEF will be giving out two MDEF scholarships and one MDEF Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) scholarship to deserving nutrition students, each in the amount of $1500. Please pass along to any nutrition students or interns who may be eligible to apply! Click here to apply.
