The outpatient Clinical Nutrition Educator provides clinical expertise with patient-focused medical nutrition goals and objectives for pediatrics, adults and geriatrics. Population served includes persons with overweight/obesity, digestive health, lipid management, oncology, food allergies, chronic kidney disease and diabetes.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Food and Nutrition Science from an accredited program: Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) accredited dietetic internship.
Maintains status as Registered Dietitian and is Licensed in the state of New Hampshire with training in all age groups. 1 to 2 years’ experience in an outpatient setting with patient teaching experience required. Must maintain 12 hours of continuing education in diabetes and educational principles every 2 years if not CDE required.
Member of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
NDPP Health Coach and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) preferred. Experience teaching group classes and experience working in Weight Management Program, Oncology and Diabetics preferred. CDE – Knowledge of DM, Management of DM, Teaching Learning Principles, Behavioral/Health Change Principles preferred.
