The Dietitian is responsible for implementing the overall nutrition program for the Elder Service Plan. Under the general supervision of the Dietary Manager, the Dietitian performs the following duties including but not limited to: implementing nutrition programs for ESP; assisting the Dietary Manager to ensure that the nutrition programs are in compliance with regulatory and compliance agencies; assisting in ensuring that all meals are in compliance with Program for All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and DPH requirements; provides guidance and advice to participants and their families regarding nutrition; assisting in overseeing the food services programs provided by the food vendors; actively participates in the interdisciplinary teams; directly responsible for annual and semi annual nutritional assessments. Position is located in our new Elder Service Plan location at 479 Torrey Street in Brockton.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with major studies in food and nutrition or dietetics, one year of professional experience providing nutritional counseling and assessments, one year of experience in working with a geriatric population (required), excellent written and verbal communication skills, Intermediate skills with Word, Excel and Outlook.
Required Certifications and Licenses: Licensed in the state of Massachusetts as a Registered Dietitian, registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, must be able to successfully obtain a Serve Safe Certification within 4 months of employment.
Supervisory Responsibility: Functional supervision of Dietary Aides in the absence of the Dietary Manager.
Preferred Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements: Masters degree in public health nutrition, foods and nutrition or nutrition education.
