22.34-31.85 hourly based on experience
The WIC Nutritionist provides nutrition services to high risk women, infants and children including collecting patient information, assessing dietary & nutritional risk, providing counseling and education including follow up education and health and social service referrals, participates in planning/development of nutrition policies & programs, and assisting with training of paraprofessional staff.
Minimum Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in public health nutrition, nutrition, foods and nutrition or nutrition education, one year of experience in clinical or community nutrition preferred but not required, demonstrated leadership and decision making capabilities, good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements: Master’s degree or Registration with the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics, Certified Lactation Consultant or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant a plus. Bilingual in Spanish, French or Vietnamese strongly preferred.
