Position Description

Job Purpose: Coordinate and collaborate on developing, planning, implementing, tracking, and evaluating policy and program initiatives to support healthy eating, physical activity and healthy weight in Cambridge. Collaborate on Cambridge in Motion strategies, including implementation of strategies, education and marketing, including social media as well as outreach to the community to create an environment that promotes healthy eating and active living.

Minimum Qualifications

In partnership with school food service and other stakeholders help improve the appeal and nutrition quality of school meals and the school environment as it influences healthy eating and physical activity. Coordinate outreach, assessment, educational programming and technical assistance for out-of-school-time programs to promote and engage the staff in changes and the development of policies and practices to support healthy eating and physical activity.

Desired Qualifications

Education/Training: Master's Degree in Nutrition, Public Health or related field.

Licensure/Certification: Licensed Nutritionist/Dietitian in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.

Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent related experience in clinical or community settings. Demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills.
