Save the date! Join us on Zoom Wed March 10 for this online workshop!! Our featured speaker, David Wiss, MS, RDN, Founder, Nutrition in Recovery, joins us from Los Angeles, California. Objectives: 1. List three ways in which early life adversity impacts human biology. 2. Describe potential consequences of trauma and known links to various forms of addictions. 3. Understand how psychosocial factors can “get under the skin” and alter neurobiology with profound implications for eating behavior. 4. Describe how nutrition can be used to support the recovery process, both from the biological and psychological perspectives. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: David Wiss, MS, RDN is the founder of Nutrition in Recovery, which specializes in: Addictions, Eating Disorders, Mental Health, Gut Health, Body Image, and General Wellness. Mr. Wiss works closely with individuals to help them revolutionize their relationship with food and has shared his expertise with numerous eating disorder and addiction facilities throughout the greater Los Angeles area. David is a published author and a nationally recognized expert in nutrition for addiction, currently a fourth year PhD student in Public Health at UCLA. His dissertation is focused on the link between early life adversity and mental health over the life course.
