Elected official who serves a one-year term of office. Upon completion of office, this individual will assume the position of Director, Education.

Professional Activities:

I am involved with the Public Relations committee of MDA and helped plan our February 2010 media workshop.  I am also one of seven National Dairy Council spokespeople who works with national media to address nutrition hot topics.

What you want to accomplish in this position:
The wealth of professional opportunities available to registered dietitians has never been greater.  With that in mind, I plan to develop continuing education activities that meet the diverse educational needs and interests of our membership. I would also like to incorporate networking into professional development activities to help foster relationships between members, realizing we can learn a lot from each other and top-notch speakers. It is my hope that providing a variety of interactive education opportunities will increase participation and member satisfaction with MDA.
