What do you want to accomplish

In running for Director-Elect, Education, I hope to utilize my first year learning from the current Director of Education to ensure that I have a working knowledge of the position and what it will entail upon transition. As Director of Education, I believe that my positions as a PhD Candidate in Nutritional Epidemiology at the Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy and a part-time outpatient RD at Children’s Hospital Boston, allow me to not only stay up-to-date on current nutrition research and literature, but also to understand what clinical and community dietitians are facing in Massachusetts. Accordingly, I hope to use this unique position to make continuing educational activities as well as the Annual Meeting more relevant and helpful for all members of MDA. Additionally, I would like to involve the membership more in choosing topics for MDA professional development activities and meetings in hopes of making licensure easier to maintain.
