Congratulations to recent MDEF Scholarship Recipients:

Sodexho Graduate Scholarship: Dawn Undurraga recently completed a master’s degree in Nutrition Communications at Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. After becoming an RD, Dawn would like to continue working at the community level to promote nutrition and health with families and children, and hopes to pursue research in pediatric obesity prevention.

2009 MDEF Scholarship: Meredith Carter completed a dietetic internship at the Frances Stern Nutrition Center, Tufts Medical Center and a master's degree in Nutrition at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. She is currently a pediatric oncology dietitian at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia.

2008 MDEF Scholarship: Ashley Reynolds completed a master's degree in Nutrition Communications at Tufts University’s Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. She is currently working at Mullen, a public relations and advertising agency, developing their nutrition communications program. She is interested in pursuing a PhD in Nutrition in the future.

MDEF Scholarship(You must be a MA Student studying in a post baccalaureate setting, graduate or certificate programs;includes internships) for$500

Send two letters of reference (one letter must befrom a Registered Dietitian) electronically (in Word Documents) to AliceMcCarley@comcast.net by May 1, 2011.

Awards will be announced in June 2011.
