WE NEED YOUR HELP:
Since the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) decision was published, the Academy has diligently reiterated the need for expanded coverage and reimbursement of medical nutrition therapy (MNT). Part of our advocacy efforts included a petition to the White House through the “We the People” process, asking the Obama administration to have CMS reconsider its decision which limits direct billing of intensive behavioral counseling for obesity to primary care providers.
The Academy is asking members to take action.
